Upside Down but equally pretty ..

I grew up celebrating Christmas in the cold, rain and sometimes snow - bright Christmas lights shining out against dark skies, happy colours reflected in puddles on the crowded footpaths... now I live in Sydney and colour this time of year comes in a whole new way...

Happy Birthday - Third Time's a Charm

This was a birthday gift I painted for a very very dear friend - soul sister really.. 

She tells me she loves the piece - it was my third attempt - the other two watercolours ended up on the sharp end of my scissors but were put to work in a collage birthday card. 

I'd like to do more detailed work - just need to develop the patience and a steadier hand!

I'm so very lucky to work and come in contact with a fantastic array of creative people, they make fab stuff so when I want to make a little present to myself I don't have to look too far!
